Google is removing support for Gemini from its iOS app. The company will instead direct users to download the standalone Gemini app, available on the App Store. This change was announced via email to Gemini users earlier this week.
Gemini was integrated with the Google app for iPhone last year but has since been replaced by a dedicated Gemini app, which supports the same features as the Google app. The new Gemini app also includes features like Imagen 3 support and Gemini Live in multiple languages.
If you try to access Gemini within the Google app on iOS, you’ll be prompted to download the standalone app instead. It’s unclear when the Gemini panel will be removed from the Google app for iOS.
