Olivia Munn Refused $1 Million To Stay Silent On Traumatic Movie Set Incident

Olivia Munn shared an emotional story on her podcast Reclaiming, where she recalled refusing a seven-figure offer to remain silent over a traumatic incident that occurred on a movie set around the beginning of the #MeToo era.

Munn recounted how she was offered a large sum of money by the studio to accept their apology but only if she signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). However, she refused, citing concerns about being silenced and her voice being diminished.

The actress recalled that at the time, there was growing pressure against NDAs as people began targeting those who signed them. Munn’s lawyer urged her to take time to think it over, but she insisted on making her own decision. The studio offered her a lot of money, saying “you’d be crazy not to take this,” but Munn replied, “it is not a lot of money for me to lose my voice.”

Munn has been open about her experiences with on-set misbehavior, including allegations against director Brett Ratner and a registered sex offender while filming the movie Predators.
