KFC Relocates HQ to Texas Amid Business-Friendly Climate

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is relocating its headquarters from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano, Texas, according to Yum Brands. The move will require employees to relocate over the next six months. Additionally, approximately 90 US-based remote workers will need to move to the new campus.

The company plans to maintain a presence in Kentucky and keep corporate offices in Louisville, including the KFC foundation. A new flagship restaurant is also set to be built in its former hometown. This relocation is part of Yum Brands’ plan to establish two corporate headquarters: one in Plano, Texas, and another in Irvine, California.

The move follows a report from 2023 stating that Texas has been a popular destination for business owners due to its business-friendly policies.
