Africa CDC to Brief Media on Outbreaks in Member States

The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) invites media representatives to a virtual briefing on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 16:00hrs – 17:00hrs East Africa Time. During the meeting, Director General Dr. Jean Kaseya will provide updates on outbreaks in Member States including mpox, Marburg virus in Tanzania, and Ebola disease in Uganda.

The briefing will be conducted virtually via Zoom and will be available in English and French through interpretation. Media professionals can submit questions to ask Dr. Kaseya during the meeting by sending their full name and media organization’s name to WhatsApp (+251 945 502 310). The briefing will also be livestreamed on https://bit.ly/42Yo1Ph.

Africa CDC is a continental public health agency that supports Member States in strengthening health systems, surveillance, emergency response, and disease control.
