Israel Accuses Hamas of Violating Ceasefire After Missing Hostage Body Found

Israel has accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement after four hostages were released but not one of them was Shiri Bibas, a woman and mother of two young children who was abducted along with her sons. The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Hamas’s actions “cynical” and condemned their refusal to return Bibas’ body as “another cruel act by the terrorists of Hamas”. The release of four hostages is part of a deal that requires Israel’s release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the bodies of four other hostages.

In related news, Saudi Arabia will host an emergency meeting with Arab countries on Friday to discuss President Donald Trump’s comments about displacing the Palestinian population and developing Gaza into a Mediterranean “Riviera”. Leaders from Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE are expected to attend.
