Fluor Appoints New CEO Amid Leadership Changes

Fluor, a global engineering and construction company, has announced significant changes in its leadership. Jim Breuer will take over as CEO, replacing David Constable, who is staying on as executive chairman.

Breuer, who has been with the company for over three decades, will receive compensation worth nearly $7 million, including a base salary, annual cash bonus, and long-term incentive grant. His predecessor, Constable, earned significantly more, with total compensation valued at almost $19 million in 2023.

Constable’s departure marks a new era of leadership at the top. The company reported mixed earnings this week, missing estimates, but citing progress in building a robust backlog across diverse end markets and strengthening its capital structure.

Breuer thanked the board for the opportunity to lead Fluor, emphasizing his commitment to driving business growth, executing projects with excellence, and developing future leaders. The appointment follows another C-suite change, with John Regan becoming CFO and executive vice president, effective March 1.
