ACC Swimming & Diving Championships: Virginia Leads Women’s Side After Day Four

The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships continued in Greensboro, North Carolina, with Virginia holding the lead on the women’s side after day four. The Cavaliers accumulated 1040.5 points, surpassing Stanford by 102.5 points.

Alex Walsh won her first individual title of the meet, claiming the 200 fly with a time of 1:52.37, and added to two first-place finishes as a member of the winning teams for the 200 and 800 free relays. Walsh is now tied with North Carolina’s Sue Walsh for most individual ACC Championship titles with 11.

Andrei Minakov became the first Stanford swimmer to earn two individual ACC Championship titles as a member of the conference, winning the 100-yard fly with a time of 44.27. California’s Oludare Rose finished second in the event with a time of 1:39.47.

The Virginia women’s team broke multiple records, including the Pool, Meet, Conference, American, US Open, and NCAA record for the 400-medley relay team with a time of 3:19.58. The Cavaliers’ squad consisted of Claire Curzan, Alex Walsh, Gretchen Walsh, and Annaliesa Moesch.

On the men’s side, California led the competition with 885.5 points, while Stanford trailed by 65.5 points. Michel Arkhangelskiy claimed Florida State’s first individual title of the meet in the 100-back event with a time of 44.49, setting a new program record for both the 100 back and 100 fly events.

The final day of the championships will take place on Saturday, February 22, at 9:30 a.m. ET, with preliminary events starting at 5:30 p.m.
