SpaceX Launches 21 Starlink V2 Mini Satellites into Low Earth Orbit

SpaceX is set to launch 21 Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Monday. The Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to liftoff at 11:26 p.m. EST, with live coverage starting about an hour prior to the lift-off.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of favorable weather conditions at launch time, improving to 80 percent by the end of the window. However, a low-pressure system moving through Florida on Monday may cause scattered clouds and showers.

This mission marks SpaceX’s use of a new Falcon 9 first stage booster, with tail number B1092. The booster has been spotted at the Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A Press Site following its previous launch.

The Starlink satellites on board include 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities. The rocket will target a drone ship landing about eight minutes after liftoff, making this the 111th successful landing and the 413th overall.
