Sigma has unveiled the BF camera, a full-frame L-Mount camera designed for everyday photography. The camera features a 24MP sensor, 230GB internal storage, and a minimalist design that takes over seven hours to produce from one aluminum ingot.
The BF’s compact size, weighing just 388g, makes it ideal for street photography or candid shots. Its single-finger operation allows users to control the camera with precision using haptic technology. The camera also boasts an information-free live view screen for distraction-free shooting.
Sigma has introduced two new lenses: the 300-600mm f/4 “dream lens” and the 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary. The 300-600mm lens offers optical performance comparable to a 600mm prime lens, while the 16-300mm lens provides an 18.8x zoom range.
The company has also announced a new brand visual identity and the creation of the Sigma Foundation, which aims to contribute to the development of photo culture. The foundation will partner with two world-renowned photographers to promote photography as an art form.
The BF camera is priced at $1,999 and will be available in April.
