The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) took place on Sunday, February 23, with host Kristen Bell. The ceremony recognized the best performances of 2023, voted on by over 122,000 performers from SAG-AFTRA.
Top prizes went to the casts of “Shōgun,” “Only Murders in the Building,” and “Conclave.” Jane Fonda received the prestigious 60th SAG Life Achievement Award during the ceremony. The award was met with a standing ovation, as Fonda described it as “meaning the world” to her.
The winners for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture include:

* “Anora”
* “Conclave” (WINNER)
* “Emilia Pérez”
* “Wicked”
For Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, Timothée Chalamet won for his role in “A Complete Unknown.” Other nominees included Adrien Brody and Daniel Craig.
In the female lead category, Demi Moore took home the award for her performance in “The Substance.”
Outstanding Performances in Supporting Roles went to Kieran Culkin for “A Real Pain,” Monica Barbaro for “A Complete Unknown,” and Zoe Saldaña for “Emilia Pérez” (WINNER).
SAG Awards also honored outstanding action performances, with “The Fall Guy” winning Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
In the television series categories, “Shōgun” won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The award went to the cast of “Shōgun,” including Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai.
Other winners include “Only Murders in the Building” for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and Colin Farrell for his role in the limited series “The Penguin.”
