T-1000 Terminator Joins Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns as Downloadable Content

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have announced that the T-1000 Terminator will be added to Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns as downloadable content starting March 18th. The character, played by Robert Patrick, is inspired by the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

The T-1000’s gameplay features its liquid metal abilities, allowing it to shapeshift and transform into various objects. It also wields deadly bladed weapons and can melt into a puddle before jumping up to slash opponents. The character’s finishing move has been kept under wraps, but fans will have to watch the teaser trailer for more information.

Additionally, Madam Bo, a new Kameo Fighter, will be available with support moves starting March 18th as part of the early access period. She can also be purchased separately on the same day.

The T-1000 is the final guest fighter in the Khaos Reigns expansion, joining other characters such as Ghostface and Conan the Barbarian. Series creator Ed Boon has hinted at potential future DLC, stating that Warner Bros. Games will continue to focus on Mortal Kombat as a key franchise moving forward.

With over five million copies sold, Mortal Kombat 1 remains one of the most-played PlayStation 5 games. The success of the series has led to praise from Warner Bros., which sees it as one of its strongest and profitable game franchises.
