DC Studios Unveils Revamped Slate of Animated and Live-Action Projects

DC Studios co-chiefs Peter Safran and James Gunn shared updates on their revamped slate of live-action and animated projects during a presentation on the Warner Bros. lot. The team has outlined its plans for family-friendly content, starting with Batman sidekick duo “Dynamic Duo” set for release in 2028.

The project features an all-star cast, including Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, and will be produced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and L.A.-based puppet animation specialists Swaybox Studios.

Three new animated series are also in development: “My Adventure with Green Lantern,” a coming-of-age story featuring Jessica Cruz; “DC Super Powers,” an action-packed show about young heroes learning to control their powers; and “Starfire,” an origin story adventure about the Teen Titans’ extraterrestrial member.

Additionally, Safran announced greenlights for three younger-skewing animated series in partnership with Warner Bros. Animation. These include “My Adventure with Green Lantern” and “DC Super Powers.” The team aims to release two live-action films, one animated film, two live-action and two animated TV series each year.
