Delta Crash Passengers May Need More Than Initial $30,000 Payment

A group of passengers who survived a dramatic crash-landing of a Delta Air Lines flight in Toronto last week have been offered a $30,000 payment by the airline. However, some of their lawyers argue that this initial sum is only a starting point and that their clients may be eligible for more compensation.

All 80 people on board Flight 4819 walked away from the incident with no fatalities, but at least 21 passengers suffered physical injuries. The $30,000 payment, which has “no strings attached,” was intended to provide some immediate financial assistance to those affected.

However, lawyers representing the injured passengers believe that this initial offer is insufficient and that their clients may be entitled to additional compensation. They argue that there could be other factors at play that would impact the total amount of damages awarded.

Delta Air Lines has yet to comment on the matter, but the airline’s decision to offer the $30,000 payment suggests a willingness to provide some level of support to those affected by the incident.
