Stalker 2 Patch 1 Fixes Major Crashes, Bugs Ahead

GSC Game World has released a message thanking fans for buying Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl and confirming that the first patch will address major crashes and bugs affecting gameplay. The patch, set to release “during the week,” aims to fix issues with main quest progression, NPCs, and graphics.

The company acknowledges that while the game has been a success, selling over 1 million copies, it’s not without its problems. The A-Life system, which tracks NPC behavior in The Zone, has been criticized for strange spawning behaviors and other issues. GSC Game World assures fans that these bugs are being addressed and will be improved.

The patch will include crash fixes, main quest progression fixes, gameplay and balance adjustments, and visual fixes. Specifically, the revisions to main quests will ensure smooth transitions and avoid rare cases of players being unable to progress further.

GSC Game World promises to continue improving the game’s experience, acknowledging fans’ feedback and suggestions for improvement. The company confirms that some issues, such as analogue sticks dead zones and A-Life system bugfixes, are noted for future updates but will be addressed in subsequent patches.
