Samsung is reportedly set to unveil its latest foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold7, in July. The first leaked renders of the device have been shared, giving us a glimpse into its design and features.
According to the leak, the Fold7 will feature a thickness of 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded, making it slightly thicker than Oppo’s Find N5, currently the thinnest book-style foldable device. However, the aspect ratio is expected to be wider, with the unfolded device measuring 158.4 x 143.1 mm.
The Fold7 will retain its 4,400mAh battery capacity, which may seem disappointing compared to Oppo’s larger batteries in similar devices. The device will feature an 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powering it.
In terms of cameras, the main sensor will be upgraded to a 200MP camera from the Galaxy Z Fold SE, paired with a 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto camera. The selfie cameras appear unchanged from the Fold6.
While Samsung’s design approach may not revolutionize the foldable segment, the device is expected to offer a premium experience for users.
