Don Lemon Claps Back at Megyn Kelly Over Joy Reid’s MSNBC Show Cancellation

Former CNN host Don Lemon publicly criticized former Fox News host Megyn Kelly for celebrating the cancellation of Joy Reid’s MSNBC show The ReidOut. Kelly wrote a post on her X, formerly Twitter account, calling Reid “the absolute worst person on television” and expressing support for President Donald Trump.

Reid was an iconic host on MSNBC, known for in-depth interviews with politicians and high-profile individuals. Her commentary often criticized President Trump and Republicans. The show’s cancellation comes after new president Rebecca Kutler took over leadership of the liberal-leaning network.

Lemon countered Kelly’s comments, saying she is actually the worst person on television who was fired from NBC and The Today Show a few years ago. He also referenced Kelly’s own history of controversy, including her dismissal from her daytime hosting gig in 2018.

Reid has responded to the backlash with a message to her fans, thanking them for their kindness and support. President Trump also weighed in on the situation, saying Reid should have been “canned” long ago due to low ratings.

The cancellation of The ReidOut marks the end of Reid’s primetime program on MSNBC, but additional adjustments to the network are expected, including Alex Wagner stepping down as an anchor.
