A outbreak of bird flu has been detected in New Jersey, with at least two counties reporting infected geese. In Monmouth County’s Allentown Borough, dead geese testing positive for the virus were found in a park, prompting authorities to block off sections behind yellow caution tape. The virus also affected a goose in Burlington County’s Pemberton area. Despite no local evidence of human spread, health departments are urging dog owners to avoid taking their pets into areas with large numbers of geese.
