Microsoft has released the February 2025 preview cumulative update for Windows 11 24H2, featuring 33 improvements and fixes. The update addresses various issues, including SSH connections breaking after installing October 2024 updates, File Explorer performance problems, and audio volume jumping to 100% when waking the PC from sleep.
The update is part of Microsoft’s monthly “optional non-security preview updates” schedule and will be rolled out to all customers with the March 2025 Patch Tuesday release. To install the update, go to Settings> Windows Update and click “Check for Updates.” Alternatively, you can manually download and install it from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
The update includes several new features and fixes, such as improved performance in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions, fixed issues with scanners, drag-and-drop functionality, Remote Desktop, and more. However, two known issues have been reported: some Citrix components blocking the installation of the January 2025 Windows security update, and Roblox players on Arm devices facing difficulties downloading the game from the Microsoft Store.
Windows 11 24H2 has entered broad deployment and is now available to all seekers via Windows Update. The update comes with a build number of 26100.3323.
