Couple Sits Next to Passenger’s Body After Mid-Flight Death

An Australian couple, Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin, were left traumatized after being forced to sit next to a passenger’s body on a recent Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha. The woman, who was seated near the lavatory, collapsed and died about 10 hours into the flight.

The crew attempted to wheel her towards business class but couldn’t move her due to size constraints. With no empty seats available beside them, Ring was asked to move to make room for the deceased passenger. Despite this, he was not offered a seat change or relocation assistance from the airline.

For the remainder of the four-hour flight, the couple sat with the body in their row and were instructed to stay seated until medical crews arrived upon landing. The incident has left Ring questioning why he wasn’t provided with support or counseling by the airline during this traumatic experience.
