Microsoft 365 customers worldwide reported issues with services like Outlook and Teams on Monday, citing problems with viewing emails, loading calendars, or accessing applications such as PowerPoint.
The company acknowledged an issue affecting users attempting to access Exchange Online or functionality within Microsoft Teams calendar. Microsoft stated that a “recent change” was behind the problem and was working to revert it. The status page reported that a fix had reached about 98% of affected environments.
However, Microsoft noted that targeted restarts were taking longer than expected for most impacted users. The company apologized for the significant impact on businesses and expressed its commitment to providing relief as soon as possible.
Despite reports peaking around noon ET Monday, the number of outage reports has decreased since then, according to Downdetector data.
