The Trump administration’s efforts to limit diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from federal programs have led several large corporations to reevaluate their own DEI programs. However, a recent survey by employment law firm Littler found that many companies are taking a measured approach.
According to the survey of 350 C-suite executives, nearly half (49%) do not intend to change or further roll back their DEI programs due to Trump’s executive orders targeting these efforts. Only 8% expressed serious consideration for making changes.
Despite the increased scrutiny, many companies seem to be sticking with their existing DEI initiatives. The survey results suggest that while there may be some backlash, many organizations are choosing not to revisit or revamp their diversity and inclusion strategies.
