NASA will provide live launch and docking coverage of a Roscosmos cargo spacecraft carrying food, fuel, and supplies for the crew aboard the International Space Station. The Progress 91 spacecraft is scheduled to launch on February 27 at 4:24 p.m. EST from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Viewers can catch live launch coverage starting at 4 p.m. ET on NASA+. For those not on US East Coast time, coverage will begin at 2:24 a.m. local time on February 28. After launching into space, the spacecraft will dock autonomously to the International Space Station two days later.
The Progress 91 spacecraft will remain attached to the station for approximately six months before returning to Earth for disposal of trash and cargo. The launch marks an important milestone in NASA’s ongoing support of human presence on the ISS, enabling research and innovation that cannot be done on Earth.
NASA’s space station is a hub for advancing science, technology, and human exploration, supporting US astronauts on extended missions and paving the way for future low-Earth economy development and missions to the Moon and Mars.
