A new nine-story hotel is set to be built in downtown Milwaukee’s Deer District, part of a growing entertainment hub. The Moxy Milwaukee Downtown hotel, proposed by Middleton-based North Central Group, will offer 162 rooms and join the area’s thriving social scene. Scheduled to break ground late next year, the hotel will feature check-in at the bar, signature welcome drinks, and game-filled lobbies for guests to unwind.
The project is backed by the Milwaukee Bucks, who are expanding Deer District as a sports, entertainment, and tourism hub. North Central Group has already opened The Trade hotel in Deer District, which has received numerous awards since its 2023 opening. The Moxy Hotels brand will now expand into Wisconsin with this new project, expected to open in 2027.
