The Progress 91 spacecraft docked to the International Space Station on March 1, bringing approximately three tons of supplies, including food and fuel, for the Expedition 72 crew. Launched on February 27 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the spacecraft will remain attached to the Zvezda Service module for about six months before its re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere to dispose of trash.
The resupply mission is part of a regular cycle to support the crew’s needs during their stay in space. The Progress 91 spacecraft is being operated by Roscosmos and marks the latest delivery of essential supplies to the ISS.
