Monster Hunter Wilds Suffers Progress-Breaking NPC Bug

Capcom has confirmed that an issue is impeding progress for some players in Monster Hunter Wilds, specifically with a key NPC not spawning in Main Mission: Chapter 5-2 A World Turned Upside Down. The publisher/developer stated on social media that they are investigating the problem and working to resolve it.

Players who encounter this issue will be unable to continue their campaign progress until the bug is fixed. However, Capcom has been swift in addressing other issues, with a hot fix patch already available for the Smithy and “Grill a Meal” problems.

Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Wilds continues to break records, reaching 1 million concurrent players on Steam. The game’s character editor also allows for free modifications, including changing one’s character’s gender or body shape once before a fee is incurred. An upcoming review from Eurogamer has praised the game as “exhilarating” and “chaotically joyful”, with a rating of 4/5 stars.

As the series’ post-launch support continues to be generous, fans are eagerly awaiting further updates and developments in Monster Hunter Wilds.
