The Trump administration has approved a major arms deal with Israel, valued at nearly $3 billion. The deal includes the sale of 35,500 bombs and 4,000 warheads worth $2.04 billion. This is the third emergency sale to Israel since January, bypassing normal congressional review.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio waived congressional review requirements citing an “emergency” in national security interests. Deliveries are set to start next year. The deal also includes other military equipment such as bulldozers and munitions worth $675.7 million and $295 million, respectively.
