Big US Consulting Firms Meet with Trump Admin to Defend Contracts

Executives from top US consulting firms, including Ernst & Young and Guidehouse, are meeting with Trump administration officials in an effort to defend their major government contracts. The meetings come ahead of a looming deadline for agencies to justify these contracts.

The discussions have involved Josh Gruenbaum, the commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service at the General Services Administration. A Booz Allen executive has also been in contact with Gruenbaum, who previously served as director at KKR, a private-equity firm.

These meetings are part of an attempt by the consulting firms to protect their projects from being terminated or renegotiated due to concerns over their performance and value for money.
