UFC Fighter Conor McGregor Faces Boycott Over Sexual Assault Verdict

Irish politician Ruth Coppinger is urging people to boycott former UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s establishments, including The Black Forge Inn, following a civil case where McGregor was found liable for assaulting a woman in Dublin. A jury awarded the victim £208,000 in compensation and McGregor has stated he will appeal the verdict.

Several retailers, including Tesco and JD Wetherspoon, have stopped selling products associated with McGregor due to public pressure. The Dublin native’s former whiskey label, Proper No. 12, has also ended its association with him. Coppinger believes people should not support McGregor, his products or premises.

McGregor’s rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has called for the fighter to face punishment for his actions. Several businesses have withdrawn McGregor’s alcohol products, including Forged Irish Stout and Proper 12 Whiskey. The decision comes after a chaotic brawl between McGregor and his team in 2018 during their UFC fight.

Coppinger’s comments come as the public continues to show their disapproval of McGregor by boycotting his products and establishments. McGregor has sold his stake in his whiskey label and bought The Black Forge Inn, which Coppinger is now urging people not to visit.
