Multiple Flights Diverted to Waco Regional Airport Due to Turbulence and Weather

Multiple flights were diverted to the Waco Regional Airport on Sunday night due to turbulence and weather conditions. A United Airlines flight, carrying 31 people, including 28 passengers, was forced to make an emergency landing in Waco after encountering severe turbulence.

Five passengers from the United Airlines flight were injured during the diversion and taken to Baylor Scott & White Health for treatment. Thankfully, all five patients received medical attention and were treated and released.

Another two American Airlines flights were diverted to the airport due to weather conditions, but no injuries or damage were reported in these incidents. A Sky West mechanic was sent to inspect the United Airlines plane on Sunday night, and once cleared, a flight crew will pick up the aircraft to take it to Houston.

The incident is currently under investigation, and more information is expected to be released as the situation develops.
