TCL Unveils Affordable New Smartphones with Advanced Displays

TCL has introduced two new budget-friendly smartphones, the TCL 60 SE Nxtpaper 5G and the TCL 60 R 5G, at this year’s MWC event. Both phones are part of the company’s 60 series and cater to entry-level smartphone users.

The TCL 60 SE features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, as well as a unique Nxtpaper technology that reduces eye strain during reading. The phone also boasts AI-powered camera capabilities, developed in partnership with Microsoft, and is equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

The TCL 60 SE will be available in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, with a price tag of €189 and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A more basic version without the Nxtpaper display will also be offered, but its pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.

The TCL 60 R 5G has similar specs to its sibling, including a 6.7-inch HD+ display, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset. However, it lacks the Nxtpaper technology and instead features Nxturbo, a hardware booster that enhances app performance.

The TCL 60 R 5G is priced at €119 and will also be sold in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Both phones offer enhanced splash resistance and come with impressive battery life. The TCL 60 R’s affordable price point and advanced features make it an attractive option for budget-conscious smartphone users.
