Bengals Cut Alex Cappa, Create More Space for Chase, Higgins and Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Bengals have released offensive guard Alex Cappa, freeing up $17.6 million in salary cap space ahead of the offseason. The move creates more room to sign wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, wide receiver Tee Higgins, and defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who are all seeking new deals. Cappa was set to enter his final year of a four-year contract, which will now be filled by new signings or an extension to keep the three stars on board.
