Despite allowing Stafford and his agent to discuss potential trade options with other teams, McVay reiterated that the Rams never had an intention to part ways with their star quarterback.
The end goal, according to McVay, has always been to have Matthew Stafford back as the team’s primary quarterback. However, this objective may be reassessed in 2026 and beyond.
