Kyrie Irving Suffers Left Knee Sprain During Game

Dallas Mavericks’ star point guard Kyrie Irving suffered a left knee sprain during Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, shooting free throws before leaving in pain. The injury occurred when Irving landed awkwardly on his left leg after being fouled by DeMar DeRozan. Coach Jason Kidd described Irving as “just unlucky” and hopes he’s healthy with no serious injury. This is Irving’s latest setback for a Mavericks team already missing several players due to injuries, including Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively II, P.J. Washington Jr., and Jaden Hardy.
