Land By Label, a Delafield-based development firm, is set to groundbreaking its new project, The Apiary, in West Allis next month. The $3.8 million development will bring 248 apartments to a former Allis-Chalmers factory site, with units ranging from studios to three-bedrooms.
The project, located at 1070 S. 70th St., also features amenities such as a club room, golf simulator, and outdoor pool. McShane Construction Co. of Rosemont, Illinois, will serve as the general contractor, while AG Architecture of Wauwatosa designed the project.
According to Land By Label founder Ian Martin, the first units are expected to open in fall 2026. The site was previously purchased by an affiliate of Milwaukee’s Cobalt Partners, who had initially planned office space but abandoned those plans.
