The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is launching its annual MS Awareness Month campaign, which aims to educate, reassure, and support individuals living with multiple sclerosis. The month-long initiative, “Empowered from the Start,” focuses on providing resources and self-advocacy strategies for those newly diagnosed with MS.
With nearly 1 million people in the US affected by MS, MSAA recognizes the importance of education and support throughout the MS journey. This year’s campaign features a range of virtual activities, including:
* A podcast mini-series “If I Knew Then: Reflecting on an MS Diagnosis” featuring personal stories from individuals with MS
* A live educational webinar “Navigating Your MS Journey” led by Dr. Jakai Nolan McEwen
* A digital art showcase celebrating the inspiring artwork of over 85 artists diagnosed with MS
* Weekly blog posts on MS Conversations providing resources and self-advocacy tips
These activities aim to empower individuals with MS, provide them with vital information, and support their journey. For more information on MS Awareness Month and MSAA’s scheduled events, visit the MS Awareness Month hub page at mymsaa.org/ms-awareness-month-2025/.
