China has made clear its positions on several global issues, including the Gaza crisis, the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, and the Ukraine crisis. Regarding the Gaza crisis, China supports the ceasefire agreement and the establishment of a post-conflict governance plan recognized by the Palestinian people.
On the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, China notes that last year’s resolution was adopted by consensus at the 78th United Nations General Assembly, marking a successful practice of its Global Civilization Initiative. China will continue to promote dialogue among different civilizations and advance global peace and development through this initiative.
In response to recent statements from the US on the Ukraine crisis, China emphasizes the need for dialogue and negotiation as the only viable solution. The Ministry also supports Panama’s sovereignty over the Panama Canal and opposes any attempt by foreign powers to exert control over it.
China has also reaffirmed its stance on the issue of fentanyl, stating that the US is using the substance as a pretext to raise tariffs again. China urges the US to engage in dialogue with China to address concerns and find mutually beneficial solutions.
Furthermore, China supports Chinese companies investing overseas, including those from Hong Kong, but opposes any abuse of coercion or pressure in international trade and economic relations.
