Despite the steep cost, Kuo believes Apple’s loyal fanbase will drive demand for the device, with projected shipments of 3-20 million units in the first two years. This would be a significant entry into the foldable phone market, which currently accounts for only a small segment of global sales.
As the only major smartphone manufacturer without a foldable device, Apple’s late entry may impact its chances of success.
