Steve Carell Pledges to Pay for Prom Tickets for California High School Seniors

Steve Carell, known for his comedic roles in TV shows like “The Office,” has made a heartwarming announcement to support California high school seniors. He’s partnering with the charity Alice’s Kids to pay for all prom tickets, valued at $175,000, for approximately 800 students across six high schools.

Founded in 2011, Alice’s Kids is a Virginia-based charity that provides financial assistance directly to children via requests from teachers, parents, and caregivers. The organization covers small but significant expenses that can greatly impact kids’ lives, such as buying parts for robotic projects or creating spaces for students to rest.

Steve Carell made the announcement at special school assemblies, where he was chosen by Executive Director Ron Fitzsimmons due to his popularity among students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The charity’s mission is to ensure that no child is left behind due to economic issues.

Thanks to this generous pledge, these high school seniors can now enjoy prom without worrying about the cost.
