9-1-1 is back from its winter hiatus and returning with new episodes on Thursday, March 6, on ABC. The Season 8 midseason premiere airs at 8 p.m. ET, and new episodes will also stream the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
The latest episode, “Wannabes,” revealed that Maddie Buckley is expecting her second child with Howard “Chimney” Han. However, Eddie Diaz’s uncertainty about leaving Station 118 to reconnect with his son Christopher has left Buck grappling with abandonment issues.
As reported by TVLine, showrunner Tim Minear confirmed that Eddie is “dead serious” about moving and this could have a significant impact on Buck. Minear also teased that an intense thriller storyline will begin in Episode 9 and 10.
New episodes of 9-1-1 will air every Thursday until the Season 8 finale later this spring. Fans can catch new episodes live on ABC or through live TV streaming services such as Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream, YouTube TV, and more.
A teaser for the midseason premiere reveals that Maddie’s character will be kidnapped by a serial killer, leading to an intense investigation led by Athena. The show’s star, Jennifer Love Hewitt, described her character’s upcoming storyline as “the craziest thing I’ve ever done on 9-1-1.”
