Google has reportedly leaked its official wallpapers for the upcoming Pixel 9a smartphone. The leak, courtesy of Android Authority, reveals eight preinstalled backdrops that match four expected colors for the handset: Obsidian (black), Iris (purple), Porcelain (white), and Raspberry or Peony (pink). The set includes light mode and dark mode variations for each color.
The wallpapers appear to be abstract interpretations of flowers, featuring a lot of color and creative blurring. It’s unclear if they were created in collaboration with a digital artist, but the designs seem to align with the leaked Pixel 9a colors.
The phone is expected to debut this month, bringing changes compared to its predecessor, such as a flat back design and improved Tensor G4 chipset. Other rumored features include a 6.3-inch display, 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Pricing is expected to start at $499 / £499 / AU$849, with possible price bumps for higher storage versions. Free trials of YouTube Premium, Fitbit Premium, and Google One are also rumored to be included.
