Social Security recipients will receive their benefits on three consecutive Wednesdays in March.
Payment schedules are as follows:
– People with birthdates from January 1 to 10 will get paid on the second Wednesday, March 13.
– Individuals born between January 11 and 20 will be paid on the third Wednesday, March 20.
– Those born on January 21 to 31 will receive their benefits on the fourth Wednesday, March 26.
However, Supplemental Social Security recipients received a payment earlier, on Friday, March 1.
People who received Social Security before May 1997 or both SSI and Social Security payments will get two separate payments – one on March 1 for SSI, and another on March 3 for Social Security.
Social Security Administration reports that the average retirement benefit is $1,976 per month. Meanwhile, the maximum monthly SSI payment in 2025 is $967 for individuals and $1,450 for couples.
