Social Security Payments Made Every Third Wednesday of Month

Social Security recipients are receiving their benefits on a predictable schedule, with most payments made every third Wednesday of the month. This rollout pays individuals based on their date of birth and typically begins on the second Wednesday of each month.

According to reports, the next payment will be on March 12 for those born between January 1st and 10th. Retired workers, who will make up over 70% of Social Security beneficiaries this year, can expect an average monthly income of $2,000.

The Social Security Administration explains that individuals who are 62 or older and have worked and paid taxes for at least 10 years are eligible to receive a benefit based on their own work. Additional payments may be available if the individual has worked with a current or former spouse. Eligibility criteria vary depending on individual circumstances, but more information can be found on the Social Security Administration’s website.
