NASA is inviting media to participate in a live virtual interview series with astronaut Jonny Kim beginning March 19. The interviews will be conducted from Star City, Russia, and streamed on NASA+. Interested parties must contact the newsroom at NASA’s Johnson Space Center by March 17.
Kim will launch April 8 aboard the Roscosmos Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft for an approximately eight-month mission to the International Space Station. During his stay, he will conduct scientific investigations and technology demonstrations to aid future space missions and benefits on Earth.
A veteran naval aviator, flight surgeon, and Navy SEAL, Kim is a U.S. Navy lieutenant commander making his first spaceflight after being selected in 2017 as part of NASA’s astronaut class. His mission aims to advance scientific knowledge and expand commercial opportunities in low-Earth orbit.
