Wendy Williams’ Guardian Denies Media Claims

Wendy Williams’ lawyer has responded to claims made by some media outlets about her condition and living situation. In a letter to TMZ, Sabrina Morrissey’s lawyer says that the media is “untrue, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading” when it comes to reporting on Wendy’s guardianship.

The judge who declared Wendy legally incapacitated due to Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) created the guardianship, not Morrissey. The lawyer disputes claims that Wendy has been denied freedom and proper care, stating she can visit with her family and receive excellent medical attention at an assisted living facility in New York.

However, Morrissey’s lawyer maintains that Wendy is being denied access to some of these perks due to restrictions on her movements. It was also reported that Morrissey received less than $30,000 for her services rendered since 2022, despite working without pay.

The lawyer warns that false statements about Wendy and her condition can harm her interests and undermine the protection created by the court for her health and welfare. This statement highlights the ongoing controversy surrounding Wendy Williams’ guardianship and the differing perspectives on her well-being.

Note: Frontotemporal Dementia is a real condition, but its symptoms include memory loss, which contradicts some claims made about Wendy’s behavior on camera and phone conversations. An independent psychiatrist recently examined Wendy and gave her a cognitive test, which she aced.
