Bethesda’s long-awaited Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake is reportedly closer to release than expected. According to insider NatetheHate, the game will likely be revealed in the coming weeks and could arrive as soon as next month.
Developed by Virtuos, a company that has worked on major franchises like Call of Duty and Dark Souls, the Oblivion remake features Unreal Engine 5 technology and six reworked gameplay systems. These changes include improved blocking mechanics inspired by Souls-like games and new stealth features.
The game’s developers have made notable improvements to combat and movement, including the stamina system, which has been modified to reduce frustration for players. The user interface (HUD) has also been revamped for better aesthetics and ease of use.
Virtuos has previously worked on high-profile projects like Metal Gear Solid 3 and is currently supporting Konami’s development of a remake for the same franchise. Although no official release date has been confirmed, sources suggest that the Oblivion remake may arrive before June this year.
