Intel has announced two new graphics cards, the Arc B580 and Arc B570, targeting entry-level PC enthusiasts. The Arc B580 boasts 12GB VRAM for under $250, while the 10GB Arc B570 is priced at just $229, cheaper than Nvidia’s current budget offerings.
The Xe2 Battlemage GPU architecture will power these cards, featuring double the graphics cores and increased memory configurations compared to Intel’s Lunar Lake CPUs. While not designed to rival high-end GPUs like Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090, the Arc B580 can potentially outperform Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 4060 in games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Returnal.
Intel’s in-house benchmarks suggest a 10% speed advantage over the RTX 4060 in 1440p gameplay. The Arc B580 also excels in ray tracing, delivering 64fps with “High RT” settings enabled versus 57fps on the RTX 4060.
Custom vendors like Acer, ASRock, and Sparkle will offer limited-edition stock versions and custom takes, which may impact pricing. As Intel looks to shake up the GPU market, its CEO’s recent retirement adds weight to the success of these entry-level graphics cards.
