A recent survey by Morgan Stanley found that a majority of investors believe Elon Musk’s political activity is negatively impacting Tesla’s business fundamentals. The survey revealed that 85% of respondents believed Musk’s involvement in politics was having a negative or extremely negative effect on the company. Despite this, Tesla shares rose over 7% on Wednesday as tech stocks rallied, but remain on pace to decline for the eighth week in a row since President Trump took office. Notably, President Trump recently purchased a Tesla and brought an array of vehicles to the White House, which may have boosted the stock price. However, Tesla’s share value has lost nearly 50% from its record high late last year due to Musk’s leadership in the Department of Government Efficiency under the new administration.
