Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s personal belongings were auctioned off by a South Florida-based company, Market Auctions, last month. The event drew attention from collectors and fans alike.
Tekashi’s extravagant jewelry collection initially caught the most attention, but his RIAA-certified platinum record plaques became the surprise sellers. These rare pieces of music history sold for three to four times their projected values.
Among the items sold was a 14-karat, two-tone “Yailin” diamond pendant necklace worth $29,000 and an Hermes Birkin bag for $18,500. His record plaques fetched prices ranging from $3,200 to $14,250.
The auction followed an IRS seizure of Tekashi’s belongings last year due to unpaid taxes. The rapper had faced financial difficulties despite his success in the music industry. In April 2024, he filed a lawsuit against a South Florida gym over a vicious attack that left him hospitalized two years ago.
