US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has expressed concern over Verizon’s slow pace of upgrades to the Federal Aviation Administration’s telecommunications network. The company is under a $2.4 billion contract to provide critical communications services to the FAA.
Duffy stated that if he were reviewing the situation, Verizon was not moving at a fast enough rate, highlighting the need for companies to be proactive in meeting the agency’s needs. With the FAA’s reliance on this network, Verizon must accelerate its efforts to ensure it remains competitive and meets the required standards to retain its contract.
