Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000 three-pointers at 8:19 mark of the third quarter in Golden State Warriors’ 130-104 win over Sacramento Kings. Curry, who passed Ray Allen’s record of 2,973 made three-pointers on Dec. 14, 2021, has added more than 1,000 to his record. The historic moment came on a broken play, mirroring the chaos Curry has created for opposing defenses since his arrival in the league in 2009. Curry’s milestone is a testament to his “irrational confidence” and extending range, which he credits to a game-changing three-pointer from 2015.
